C4SB Foundation Announces New Projects Promoting Open Solutions for Data Interoperability for Buildings

KANSAS CITY, MO -- July 30, 2025 -- Today, the Coalition for Smarter Buildings Foundation, a project series of The Linux Foundation, today announced new projects to expand its work to bring open standards and open source resources to interoperable data and composable solutions for the built environment.


The new projects include:

  • Asset Leadership Standards

  • Available IBBs

  • Grid Interactive Buildings

  • LonMark

  • Managed BACnet

  • Semantic Buildings


The new projects are in addition to C4SB's existing projects, that includes:

  • Connection Profiles for IBB

  • Div2525

  • IBB Project

  • Young Professionals for Smarter Buildings
